  • What inspired you to enter this field?

What inspired me to dive into technology was its immense potential to create and innovate. I’ve always been fascinated by the ability to solve problems and make life easier through digital solutions.

  • What are you responsible for at Impact Reporting?

As a senior software engineer, my responsibility is to maintain and develop new features for our platform. I have always been into technology. When I was just a toddler, I could program the timer and clock on the VCR. Later in life, I got into computer programming and had an interest in AI, but my path shifted more toward web programming. Today, though, I feel things have come full circle in terms of AI with the latest opportunities available to us.

Three highlights of my career so far: achieving certifications like AWS SysOps, accumulating over 15 years of experience in PHP development, and contributing to impactful tech projects such as with Impact Reporting.

  • Outside of work you can find me...

I have always been into my technology, so if I’m not tinkering with a device such as a Raspberry PI to make a mundane household task simpler, I’ll relax with a video game. I’ve also recently developed an interest in woodworking lately, mainly out of necessity, given my house-related jobs.

Edinburgh is filled with history and personal significance. It’s the city my partner and I first visited together and it’s also where I proposed to her.
