One of the fastest growing procurement consortiums Procurement Hub, part of Places for People, a leading placemaker in the UK, is partnering with Impact Reporting, a cloud based social value monitoring and reporting platform to drive social value through every contract.
Procurement Hub, based in Preston, is working with Impact on a unique new business drive, which will see the procurement specialists help clients in the public sector maximise the amount of social value they generate through social and environmental endeavours. It will also allow clients to see the value of Impact’s platform and the importance of recording, analysing and reporting data from their purpose led initiatives.
Places for People invested in Impact Reporting last year, after working together for the last two years and is supporting the company’s expansion.
Procurement Hub is a ‘disrupter’ in the purchasing sector, with over 516 public sector clients across healthcare, education, charities and local authorities. It has 850 suppliers listed among its frameworks and Dynamic Purchasing Systems and is keen to demonstrate the value of sustainability and social value within its contracts.
Chris Farrell, Managing Director of Impact, said:
“We signed this ongoing deal with Procurement Hub to share resources, engage with their suppliers and co-create content. We’ll be working together to help educate the Hub’s clients about the value of pro-social and environmental initiatives and will partner with them at a range of housing events, including Housing 2020, and meet housing clients in person.
“The Impact platform works seamlessly across organisations and sectors of all sizes because it’s fully scalable to each company’s requirements and quick and easy for any stakeholder to log onto and record their socially impactful actions or purpose led initiatives.”
Alan Heron, Director of Procurement at Procurement Hub, said:
“Social value is an increasing area of focus for all kinds of suppliers and clients across our procurement solutions. We’re keen to introduce Impact to our clients, as the innovative platform will benefit them by raising the bar in relation to social value monitoring across all industries.
“As an innovator in the public sector we want to offer our customers the best service. A large part of public contracts is now demonstrating social impact, not just in terms of financials but the benefit to society and the environment.”
Impact’s clients span the transport, housing, construction, legal, education and charity sectors and include Amey, One Manchester, Manchester Airport Group, Network Rail, DWF, Regenda, Breast Cancer Now, The University of Manchester and The British Library.
